CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Chester is seeking a Mechanical Bias Engineer to maintain domestic water systems and HVAC plant to L8 standards, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and keep accurate service records.

The role requires hands-on plumbing skills, experience with pumps, valves, cooling towers, and a commitment to safety. On-site, Monday to Friday with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining pumps, motors and valves.
• Experience with cooling towers.
• Domestic and commercial plumbing knowledge.
• Solid understanding of health and safety obligations in maintenance activities.
• Time served plumber with NVQ Level 2/3.
• Basic IT skills and record-keeping abilities.

Responsabilités

• Maintain domestic water systems to meet L8 standards and service agreements.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on site.
• Identify and remedy faults to keep plant in serviceable order.
• Ensure spares are available and update Frontline records.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for tasks to ensure safe working practices.
• Build professional relationships with CBRE Managed Services staff and client staff.

We are recruiting a Mechanical Bias Engineer to join our team in Chester!

Role Summary

• Ensure that domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
• Ensure that panned and routine maintenance is carried out to all Heating & Air-conditioning plant to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
• Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
• To carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works to other site plant as required.
• Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
• Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of "Frontline" task sheets.
• Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
• To develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE Managed Services staff and clients staff.
• Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
• Ensure a professional image of CBRE Managed Services is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
• Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.

The successful candidate will be a Mechanical Plumber who is proficient in various disciplines, capable of handling a range of maintenance and repairs on-site. Their responsibilities include performing inspections, diagnosing and fixing equipment issues, conducting repairs across different systems, and ensuring smooth operations on site.

Hours

• Monday - Friday.
• 07:30 - 16.30
• Early finish fridays!
• Overtime & weekend flexibility required.
• On-Call schedule available.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience of maintaining Pumps, Motors and Valves.
• Experience of operating Cooling Towers.
• Domestic & Commercial plumbing knowledge
• Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities.
• Time served plumber to NVQ Level 2/3
• Basic IT skills
