Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work across South England with mobile duties. You will join a proactive team and manage dewatering equipment on wastewater sites, performing asset overhauls, repairs and pipework installations.

The role offers a company vehicle and Veolia benefits. The ideal candidate holds an NVQ Level 3 in mechanical maintenance, a full UK driving license and hands-on maintenance experience.

Qualifications

  • NVQ or recognised apprenticeship Level 3 in mechanical engineering.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Hands-on engineering maintenance experience.
  • Desirable: Compex Trained, Confined Space Trained, First Aid Trained, Clean Water Qualification, SHEA Water Qualification, IOSH Managing Safely, DSEAR Awareness, PASMA Trained.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team of mechanical engineers or fitters across multiple sites.
  • Carry out complex asset overhauls and replacements.
  • Undertake mechanical repairs and modifications to dewatering equipment, pumps, pipework, valves and ancillaries.
  • Carry out inspections, services and repairs to dewatering assets on site.
  • Install pipework using plastic, stainless steel and mild steel materials.
  • Provide standby cover and overtime as required and work away from home when needed.
  • Complete test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents.
