An established industry player is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Technician to ensure the efficient operation of water treatment facilities across Southwest London. This role involves proactive and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on various mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the field, a strong understanding of health and safety, and excellent communication skills. We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical and Electrical Technician. The successful candidate will work at sites across Southwest London, based at Waddon Water Treatment Works in Croydon. The area covers water treatment works, boreholes, reservoirs, water towers, and pumping stations across SW London, ranging from Epsom to Battersea and Addington. The standby rota covers the whole of South and Southeast London.
If successful, you will ensure that all equipment at our sites is running safely and efficiently using proactive and reactive maintenance methods. You will inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
Working within the maintenance team, you will follow robust planned maintenance, engage in minor installation projects, electrical fault finding, and emergency breakdown repairs to ensure our plant operates year-round.
Base Location: Waddon - CR0 4HY
Working Pattern: 38 Hours, Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, plus standby & overtime opportunities
