Job summary

Forth Ports is seeking two Service Technicians for the Port of Tilbury to join the LCTE Engineering team. You will perform planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and mechanical/electrical repairs on terminal equipment to maximise reliability while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities include accurate recording and coordination with supervision to ensure uptime. The role requires hands-on engineering capability, experience across mechanical and electrical disciplines, and flexibility to work

Qualifications

• Qualified in engineering discipline (Level 3 NVQ, ONC or HNC) or equivalent.
• Must have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Experience in mechanical fitting and fault diagnosis is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on terminal equipment (straddle carriers, STS cranes, and more).
• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Record maintenance activities and inspections clearly in the system.
• Ensure safety standards and high standards of workmanship.
• Collaborate with Shift Supervisors and Engineering Management on updates and progress.
