Job description

Mechanical/Electrical Field Engineer

Salary: From £40,800.00 per year

Location: Aberdeen

Company: TDC is one of the largest electrical and mechanical service companies in Scotland, renowned for providing excellent service quality, reliability, and technical expertise.

Key Requirements:

1. Experience in armature winding with a solid background in AC and DC motor repairs, rewinds, overhauls, and associated equipment.
2. Ability to test, inspect, diagnose, and repair various motors and pump motor assemblies.
3. Capability to dismantle, rewind, repair, and assemble AC and DC machines, as well as other rotational equipment such as gearboxes, alternators, eddy current brakes, and surface/submersible pumps.
4. Ability to work independently and good communication skills.

Qualifications/Experience:

1. Previous experience in dismantling, stripping, rewinding, and testing LV/MV AC/DC motors, pumps, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
2. Experience in repairing HV motors is advantageous.
3. Experience in repairing Ex motors is advantageous.
4. Coil winding experience.
5. A formal qualification such as HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3, with understanding of traditional and modern repair techniques.
6. Must have the right to work in the UK.
7. Must hold approved certification for offshore work.
