Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in North Wales offers an internship in Facilities Management and Real Estate (FMRE UK). You will support real estate, energy, and maintenance across the Airbus UK sites, reporting to the FMRE UK team.

Open to undergraduates studying Mechanical Engineering, the placement starts 17 August 2026 and runs for 12.5 months. It provides 35 hours per week with hybrid/flexible arrangements and a salary of £24,246 plus 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to listen, understand and communicate information.
• Interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems.
• Basic project management skills, with willingness to learn Airbus tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the site HO Services with the financial management of budgets and forecasting.
• Participate in capital investment (CapEX) planning and projects according to Airbus principles.
• Work with disciplined engineers to identify redundant services and systems at the main manufacturing facility at Broughton.
• Contribute to the strategy for each system removal and risk management using the Airbus ARM tool.
• Develop asset strategies for the service deliverables.
