Job summary

AECOM in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Mechanical Director to lead the Data Centre CA team across the UK and EMEA, delivering multi-disciplinary mechanical and electrical design, project delivery and client management for hyperscale and co‑location projects.

You will drive work winning, programme management and commercial oversight across major data centre schemes, ensuring consistency across projects and liaising with local AHJs and GCs.

Qualifications

• Strong background delivering Mechanical or Electrical projects in Data Centres and mission-critical environments.
• Proven experience leading Data Centre projects in the UK and across EMEA.
• Demonstrable client-facing and work-winning experience.
• Excellent team leadership and development capability.
• Detailed knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical design and interface with clients.
• Strong commercial acumen and project financial management.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the growing Data Centre CA team across UK/EMEA.
• Provide multi-disciplinary CA services including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical and more.
• Deliver Principle Designer/Responsible Designer services during construction.
• Coordinate multi-discipline, site-based teams with design colleagues.
• Manage design services through construction to accommodate client changes.
• Maintain consistent approach across projects and client representatives.
• Support work winning and business development for MEP solutions in the DC sector.
• Provide programme management and commercial oversight for major projects.
• Monitor project risks and KPIs and resolve deviations.
• Ensure seamless, on-time delivery of mechanical services regionally.
