Job summary

Ernest-Gordon-Recruitment-Limited Middlesbrough is seeking a Mechanical Design Technician (Industrial Machinery) to produce detailed 2D CAD drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will contribute to prototyping, assembly and testing of machinery, working with manufacturing teams to meet customer specifications.

The role offers progression, an early Friday finish, and a benefits package with salary in the GBP34k-GBP38k range depending on experience.

Are you a Design Technician, from an industrial machinery background, looking to join a specialist precision engineering company that can offer career progression and an early Friday finish?

This company specialises in the design and manufacturing of bespoke engineered components, specialist machinery and provide panel building solutions. They mainly supply into the industrial and heavy machinery sectors.

The successful candidates will be producing 2D/3D CAD designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will participate in the prototyping, assembly/ testing of machinery and liaise with suppliers and vendors regarding specialist components.

This role would suit a Design professional, from an industrial machinery background, who is now looking for an exciting opportunity to join a specialist company that can offer an enhanced benefits package.

The Role:

• Produce detailed 2D CAD drawings and 3D models for precision-engineered components and mechanical assemblies
• Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are in line with customer specifications
• Review technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances to ensure accuracy and quality
• Monday – Thursday (08:00 – 16:45), Friday (08:00 – 13:30)

The Person:

• Experience using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
• Background in industrial machinery design
