Job summary

ES Recruit is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading engineering company in the Special Purpose Machinery sector. You will drive conceptual design through to production, creating detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings while collaborating with production to ensure feasibility and safety compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on machinery design, strong CAD skills, and a proactive approach within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Experience in machinery design and manufacturing is essential.
• Strong CAD skills and hands-on design experience are required.
• Ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Develop new design concepts and create detailed manufacturing drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Manage projects from concept through to completion, including customer site evaluations.
• Collaborate closely with the production team to meet customer requirements and ensure manufacturing feasibility.
• Refine existing designs to comply with Health & Safety standards.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs, user manuals, and operating instructions.
