FC Engineering Recruitment is working with an established engineering and manufacturing business in Sandy, Bedfordshire, who are looking to recruit a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team. Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Design Engineer or similar.
• Strong experience using SolidWorks.
• Experience designing special purpose machinery.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience producing engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing special purpose machinery and bespoke mechanical equipment.
• Producing detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Taking projects from concept through to detailed design and manufacture.
• Producing assemblies, component drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Working closely with manufacturing, project and production teams.
• Supporting the development and improvement of existing machinery and equipment.
• Ensuring designs meet relevant engineering and safety requirements.
