Mechanical Design Engineer – Robotics

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background in robotics and precision electromechanical design? Do you live in the Warrington area or would love the opportunity to relocate and work in one of the UK’s most exciting tech hubs?

If so, our client, an innovative tech-for-good start-up, is actively hiring for a position based in Warrington to support operations across their UK and EU functions.

The Mechanical Design Engineer, based in Warrington, UK, will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing robotic components including precision mechanisms and enclosures
• Creating complex parts and assemblies using SolidWorks with a focus on plastic injection moulding, sheet metal, and CNC machining
• Performing FEA and thermal analysis to validate mechanical designs
• Collaborating with electronics, software, and research teams in an Agile environment
• Supporting testing, debugging, and DFM for scalable production

To apply for this Mechanical Design Engineer role, you should have:

• A degree or master’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in hands-on mechanical design
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, including generating manufacturing drawings
• Proven experience designing injection-moulded plastic parts, sheet metal enclosures, and precision mechanical assemblies
• Familiarity with FEA tools, prototyping, and mechanical testing
• A practical, hands-on approach and excellent problem-solving skills
