Mechanical Design Engineer – Robotics

Our client, an innovative tech-for-good start-up, is actively hiring for a position based in Cambridge to support operations across their UK and EU functions.

The Mechanical Design Engineer, based in Cambridge, UK, will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing robotic components, including precision mechanisms and enclosures
• Creating complex parts and assemblies using SolidWorks, focusing on plastic injection moulding, sheet metal, and CNC machining
• Performing FEA and thermal analysis to validate mechanical designs
• Collaborating with electronics, software, and research teams in an Agile environment
• Supporting testing, debugging, and DFM for scalable production

To apply for this Mechanical Design Engineer role, you should have:

• A degree or master’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Hands-on mechanical design experience
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, including generating manufacturing drawings
