Job summary

Complete Talent Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a leading global business near Knutsford/Northwich. You will design and develop mechanical components for Offshore, Oil & Gas and Subsea sectors, using SolidWorks from concept to production.

The role requires a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and proven SolidWorks proficiency, with strong background in design and manufacturing methods. 37 hours per week, with 2 remote days (Tue and Fri) available.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
SolidWorks proficiency required with design experience.

Responsibilities

Using 3D CAD software (Solidworks) to design and develop new products from concept to completion.
Updating existing products to improve quality or to take advantage of modern manufacturing methods.
Liaise with customers to discuss new enquiries.
Represent the company during customer visits or at trade shows.
Ensure designs are validated using engineering calculations and FEA.
Produce manufacturing drawings of components and assemblies.
Peer checking of work done by colleagues.
Produce supporting documentation including assembly and test procedures, operating manuals, CE and UKCA marking etc.
