Job summary

ASL in the United Kingdom seeks a motivated Design Engineer (mechanical and electro-mechanical) to join a prestigious global engineering manufacturing client. The role offers a salary circa £40k-£45k+ with a generous pension, work from home Fridays, extra holidays, sick pay, medical, and clear long-term career prospects in engineering management.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or HNC/HND or degree qualifications, strong CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred), and hands-on machinery design

Qualifications

• Experience of machinery design within industrial manufacturing or production environments.
• HND/HNC engineering or degree in mechanical/electro-mechanical fields.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machinery and special purpose machines for industrial use.
• Create detailed CAD designs and manufacturing drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant international and UK standards.
• Collaborate with production to support refurbishment and modernization projects.
