Job summary

Teledyne Valeport in Totnes, UK, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create and develop the mechanical aspects of our next generation underwater instruments. You will design with 3D CAD, produce manufacture-ready drawings and contribute to in-house prototyping, testing and integration with electronics.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering qualification, strong SolidWorks skills, and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a cross-functional team to take ideas from

Qualifications

• A level 5/6 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (e.g. HND/Degree).
• Evidence of experience in a relevant mechanical design role.
• SolidWorks 3D modelling and drafting for manufacture.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the mechanical aspects of next generation underwater products.
• Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings for production.
• Provide mechanical problem solving support to production.
