Job summary

RSP Consulting Engineers - Part of Drees & Sommer seeks a Mechanical Engineer in Edinburgh to lead the mechanical services design in line with project goals. You will work under a project leader while collaborating with a wider team and directly engaging with clients.

The role requires at least five years of relevant M&E experience, a degree or active pursuit of CIBSE membership, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

Degree qualified or working towards relevant professional recognition (CIBSE).
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in M&E building services design.
Valid UK driving licence; willingness to travel within the UK.

Responsibilities

Work under a project leader and be responsible for the mechanical services design development in accordance with project objectives.
Work independently or as part of a wider team and report to senior staff.
Communicate directly with clients and design team members, including meetings.
Prepare calculations and comprehensive design for M&E building installations.
Manage workload and support technicians to meet deadlines.
Prepare concept and preliminary engineering solutions for design.
Prepare technical reports, documents and specifications.
Maintain good working relationships with design team members.
Ensure compliance with RSP Business Management Systems.
