Job summary

Outsource UK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Bristol with hybrid working options. You will design and develop mechanical components and sub-assemblies, support NPI projects and produce CAD models and drawings.

The ideal candidate holds a mechanical engineering degree, has experience with CATIA/AutoCAD, and understands design for manufacture. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with 3D/2D CAD tools (e.g. CATIA, AutoCAD).
• Understanding of design for manufacture/assembly principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of P&IDs or system schematics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and sub-assemblies.
• Support new product introduction and development projects.
• Produce detailed CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs meet performance, quality, and cost requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
