Job summary

Outsource UK is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis for a global engineering client. The successful candidate will lead more junior Mechanical Engineers while also managing the mechanical design aspects of various projects.

Responsibilities include acting as the mechanical engineering lead on NPI projects from concept through production launch, owning architecture decisions for performance, manufacturability and cost, and leading 3D modelling and detailed assembly

Qualifications

Experience leading mechanical design activities on NPI or product development projects.
3D modelling and detailed component/assembly design experience.
Design for manufacture principles with focus on assembly.

Responsibilities

Act as the mechanical engineering lead on NPI projects from concept development through production launch.
Own mechanical architecture decisions, ensuring product performance, manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and cost targets are achieved.
Lead design activities including 3D Modelling, detailed component & Assembly design.
