Job summary

ASL in Winchester, UK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an exclusive global engineering manufacturing client. A salary package around £40k-£45k+ with generous benefits including a pension, work from home Fridays, extra holidays, sick pay and medical cover is offered.

Candidate should have mechanical/electro-mechanical design experience, CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred), and a background in process/machine design within industrial manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND/HNC in mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience in machinery design, SP machines and process machinery within manufacturing settings.
• Practical CAD experience; SolidWorks preferred, AutoCAD or other CAD packages acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machinery and special purpose machines for industrial manufacturing.
• Produce detailed designs, drawings and specifications for fabrication and assembly.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UK/ international standards and safety requirements.
