People Group Limited in Luton is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a reputable mechanical contracting team. You will develop HVAC designs from concept through installation, delivering high-value projects across sectors with a hybrid working model.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in mechanical building services, strong AutoCAD skills, and the ability to coordinate across disciplines while ensuring compliance with regulations and project standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in mechanical building services design.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building services principles.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and ability to produce detailed mechanical services drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed mechanical designs for HVAC systems across diverse projects.
• Develop mechanical layouts, schematics and drawings using AutoCAD.
• Perform design calculations and size plant, ductwork and pipework.
• Review specifications to develop compliant and efficient solutions.
• Coordinate designs with electrical services and other disciplines.
• Support project delivery by resolving technical queries on site.
