Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is sourcing a Mechanical Design Engineer for a Stanmore office-based role, offering £40,000–£45,000 plus bonus, private healthcare, and clear progression. You will work on technically interesting projects across data centres, healthcare, and more, progressing from initial design through to completion.

The successful candidate will have experience in mechanical design, strong calculation skills, and familiarity with design software.

Qualifications

• Experience within Mechanical Design Engineering.
• Commercial or industrial mechanical project experience.
• Strong mathematical and calculation skills.
• Experience with mechanical design and specification.

Responsibilities

• Producing mechanical designs, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Designing and routing mechanical systems including pipework, ductwork and airflow systems.
• Preparing plans, specifications and schedules for mechanical works.
• Producing reports in support of design concepts and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Using software such as IES, Dialux and CAD.
• Attending sites for surveys, inspections and testing where required.
• Responding to RFIs and supporting clients throughout the design process.
• Reviewing installation progress, quality and performance.
• Supporting the design team with operation and ongoing maintenance requirements.
• Taking projects through from initial design through to completion.
