Job summary

Close Resource Management Ltd is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer (3D) for a permanent role near Winchester. The position involves creating 3D assemblies from initial concepts and producing fabrication-ready 2D drawings.

You will join an international engineering organisation with a base near Winchester. The ideal candidate holds a mechanical engineering degree, has 5+ years of relevant experience, and can travel as required.

Qualifications

Mechanical Design Engineer

GBP55–58k per annum

2/3 Days per week in the office

Our client, an international engineering organisation with a base near Winchester, is now looking to recruit a Design Engineer (3D) to join the business on a permanent basis.

Primary Role Functions:

To create/generate/design 3D assemblies from preliminary layout drawings and concepts with the aim to then produce 2D GA and detail drawings for fabrication.

Job requirements:

• Hold clean UK driving license.
• A Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar related degree).
• 5+ years related job experience.
• Strong fundamental knowledge of mechanical design and its application in industrial designs including knowledge / specification of hydraulic systems, motors & mechanical systems.
• Critical thinking with exceptional problem–solving skills, able to work independently or in team environment.
• Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.
• Proactive, resourceful & highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in high output environment.
• Travel as required to support projects.
