Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its expanding M&E team in the education and healthcare sectors. You will undertake mechanical surveys, develop designs and specifications, and support projects from feasibility through to construction.

The role covers heating, ventilation, cooling, water services and building management systems with regular client and contractor meetings, site inspections and contributions to tender processes.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Building Services.
• Experience in mechanical building-services surveying, design or delivery.
• Experience with AutoCAD and 2D drawings.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking mechanical condition, asset, measured and feasibility surveys.
• Developing mechanical building-services designs from feasibility to technical design.
• Coordinating mechanical designs with other disciplines.
• Preparing survey reports, asset schedules, and feasibility studies.
• Attending client, contractor, design-team and site meetings.
• Responding to tender queries and contributing to value engineering.
• Reviewing contractor proposals and technical submissions.
• Managing allocated work against programmes and fee budgets.
• Supporting commissioning, snagging, and handover activities.
