RGB Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Building Services team in Winchester. You will deliver high-quality mechanical designs across project stages, collaborating with engineers, architects and contractors to create efficient and sustainable building services systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Mechanical Building Services Design.
• Consultancy or contractor design experience.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Building Services design principles.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, IES and Hevacomp.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce Mechanical Building Services designs from concept through to detailed design.
• Design HVAC, heating, ventilation, cooling and public health systems.
• Prepare technical calculations, reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Attend client, design and technical coordination meetings.
• Liaise with architects, structural engineers, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations, British Standards, health & safety legislation.
• Provide advice on sustainability and energy efficiency.
• Carry out building surveys and produce technical reports with recommendations.
• Support the delivery of projects through construction and installation phases.
• Produce and develop designs using Revit, AutoCAD, IES and Hevacomp.
