Job Description:

We are looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer in Wolverhampton due to company growth. The role involves developing mechanical designs for safe and compliant site installations within an office-based environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing in conjunction with fire strategy reports, local building regulations, and planning requirements.
• Attending design team meetings and conducting site surveys.
• Producing thermal modelling, load calculations, and selecting HVAC and plumbing equipment.
• Producing drainage and pipe sizing calculations.
• Detailing mechanical layouts and schematics for construction.
• Meeting project deadlines and producing detailed reports.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in mechanical building services engineering.
• Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of relevant standards (CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, EN, ASHRAE).
• Proficiency with design software such as Hevacomp, Carrier HAP, CyMap, IES/TAS.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to changing environments.
