Our client is a well-established international manufacturing company with a site employing around 100 people. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in mechanical design, whether with a couple of years of experience or with extensive career experience and a passion for mechanical design.

The Mechanical Design Engineer Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining mainly 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks. You will collaborate closely with R&D engineers to provide hands-on support and ensure quick turnaround on design changes. The role will also involve participation in the assembly process, including plastic moulding, PCBs, and metal work.

The Ideal Candidate for the Mechanical Design Engineer Role

You must have proficiency in SolidWorks and solid experience in mechanical design. An understanding of assembly processes, including plastic moulding and PCBs, is beneficial. You should be detail-oriented, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and be able to work collaboratively.
