Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Details:

• Location: Omagh - Ballygawley / Monaghan / Enniskillen / Tyrone / Armagh area
• Type: Full-time, permanent
• Salary: £25,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience) + 5% bonus + overtime + other benefits

Our client is an expanding, established heavy metal engineering company, part of a larger group, with plans for a new manufacturing site. They are experiencing significant growth and are looking for talented professionals to join their team during this exciting expansion phase.

Role Overview:

This Mechanical Design Engineering position involves project-oriented mechanical design work within a team environment. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle, from concept through development to design for manufacture. The role requires frequent use of SolidWorks, drawing up Bills of Materials, and designing for efficiency and minimal wastage.

Essential Criteria:

1. Minimum of 1 year experience in Mechanical Design Engineering on similar products
2. Proficiency in 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Pro Engineer / Creo, SolidEdge, or Inventor
3. A relevant third-level qualification in an engineering-related subject (preferred, but relevant experience may be considered)
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
