Job summary

Chroma Recruitment seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer in Runcorn to join a busy engineering team. You will work on full lifecycle design of process plant machinery, delivering P&IDs and 3D/2D CAD models, with responsibility for documentation and calculations through to manufacture.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and experience with P&IDs and Inventor, with Chartered Engineer status being highly desirable. A competitive salary is on offer along with company benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
• Experience with P&IDs and 3D CAD.
• Familiarity with Fluid mechanics is desirable.
• Chartered Engineer is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop P&IDs for process plant machinery.
• Design in 3D/2D CAD, using Inventor where possible.
• Prepare documentation and calculations for release to manufacture.
• Oversee work through manufacture to ensure design intent is met.

Due to continuing expansion, this reputable engineering firm are looking to add multiple heads their engineering team. As part of this growth, they are looking for aMechanical Design Engineer.

As aMechanical Design Engineer candidate will operate in multi-functional project teams and be exposed to the full life cycle of cutting-edge process plant machinery. Key duties include P&IDs, 3D / 2D CAD, documentation, calculations and overseeing your work through manufacture.

Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:

• Degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• 3D CAD - ideally Inventor
• Similar experience in Mechanical Engineering
