Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder in Rochdale is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design industrial burners, heating equipment and energy centres. You will use SolidWorks for design and simulation and liaise with the shop floor to monitor project progress.

The role is full-time with a salary of £36,000–£50,000 per year, offering the chance to contribute to bespoke projects for blue-chip customers across the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial burners, associated heating equipment and energy centres.
• Use SolidWorks for mechanical design and simulation.
• Work with ePDM and other simulation tools.
• Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, manuals and parts lists.
• Work closely with the shop floor to monitor the progress of ongoing jobs.
• Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team across multiple projects.
• Carry out site visits for pre-installation checks as required.

Mechanical Design Engineer | Rochdale, Greater Manchester OL11 2SL | Full Time | £36,000 - 50,000 per annum

Our client is a world‑class market leader in the manufacture of automatic combustion equipment, exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and serving a broad range of blue‑chip customers. Based at their Rochdale headquarters, which includes an 8‑acre production facility, they are continuing to expand their team.

The Role

You will be a key part of the mechanical engineering team, designing industrial burners, associated heating equipment and complete energy centres. Using SolidWorks for design and simulation, you will work on a variety of bespoke projects, while maintaining accurate technical documentation and liaising with the shop floor to monitor project progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Design industrial burners, associated heating equipment and energy centres
• Use SolidWorks for mechanical design and simulation
• Work with ePDM and other simulation tools
• Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, manuals and parts lists
