Job summary

E3 Recruitment is sourcing two Mechanical Design Engineers for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Leeds, West Yorkshire. You will design and layout facilities for new machines, detailing pipework, ducting and utility connections to integrate with site services.

Using SolidWorks to produce 2D/3D designs and fabrication drawings, you will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and project teams to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
• Strong SolidWorks 3D design and modelling skills.
• Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Create facility layout drawings for new machine installations.
• Design associated pipework, ducting and utility connections.
• Generate fabrication, assembly and manufacturing drawings.
• Support installation and commissioning activities.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Project teams.
• Ensure designs meet customer, quality and safety requirements.

I am exclusively recruiting x2 Mechanical Design Engineers for my client following a significant investment in the development of two new machines.

Both positions are offered on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

Using SolidWorks, you will produce 2D and 3D designs and facility layout drawings showing how the new machines will fit within the existing site. You will also detail the pipework and ducting required to connect them to the facility services and processing systems.

The Role
