An excellent opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an Oxford-based start-up creating the next generation of hardware for AI acceleration using 3D Optical Computing.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have a number of core responsibilities that include:

1. Designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems for products
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including optical and electronic engineers
3. Utilizing CAD software to create detailed designs and engineering drawings
4. Managing multiple projects simultaneously
5. Preparing detailed documentation

To be considered for the Mechanical Design Engineer position, you must have previous experience in mechanical design, analysis, and project management, proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools, strong knowledge of mechanical principles, thermodynamics, and material science, experience with optical systems, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
