Blueprint Recruitment is seeking experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineers for a global engineering consultancy in London, on a long-term (6-12 months) contract basis.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting Residential and Commercial projects across the UK and Ireland, with hybrid working arrangements requiring attendance at the office.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design mechanical systems including HVAC, hot and cold water, and public health services.
2. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across commercial and residential projects.
3. Produce technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software.
4. Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
5. Ensure compliance with UK building regulations and sustainability standards.

Key Requirements:

1. Proven experience in mechanical design within the building services sector.
2. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical calculation tools (e.g., IES, Hevacomp).
3. Excellent understanding of current building regulations and design standards for mechanical services.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
