Job summary

Owen Daniels are seeking a Mechanical / Mechatronics Design Engineer to take ownership of concepts through to production in agricultural machinery.

You'll lead design work across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, delivering robust, field-ready solutions and detailed 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks. The role requires hands-on prototyping, testing and collaboration with other engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in machinery/mechanical/mechatronic design.
• Experience integrating mechanical with electrical components, sensors, actuators or control systems.
• Understanding tolerances and manufacturing processes.
• Experience designing machined components and fabrications.
• Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing within a team.
• Experience with agricultural machinery would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop agricultural machinery from concept through to production.
• Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design practical mechanical fabrications and machined components.
• Support the integration of hydraulic and electrical systems, including actuators, motors, sensors and controls.
• Support prototyping, testing and validation of new and existing products.

Are you a Mechanical or Mechatronics Design Engineer looking for a role where you can take real ownership of your designs from concept through to production?

Our client are looking for a Mechanical / Mechatronics Design Engineer to join their team and play a key role in designing the next generation of robust, field-ready machinery.

The Role

You’ll have full ownership of projects, taking designs from initial concepts and 3D models through prototyping, testing, validation and into commercial production.

Working across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, you’ll develop practical engineering solutions that are built to perform in demanding agricultural environments.

Key Responsibilities

About You

We’re looking for someone with:
