Mechanical Design Engineer – Fuel Injection Systems

Full-Time | Permanent | Hybrid Working (2 Days WFH After Probation)

We’re hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of a global engineering client working at the forefront of fuel injection technology. Based in Kent, this role focuses on the design and development of high-precision diesel fuel injection systems used across commercial and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design high-pressure fuel injection components and systems

  • Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings

  • Apply DFMEA and GD&T in design reviews

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure DFM and cost-efficiency

  • Analyse test data to support continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering

  • 5–10 years’ design experience

  • Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, NX or CATIA)

  • Experience with GD&T, DFMEA, and DFM principles

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
