Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Congleton to design bespoke equipment using Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks. The role involves creating 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.

You will develop new concepts, conduct hands-on testing, and produce technical manuals while supporting projects through the full design lifecycle from concept to manufacture. The ideal candidate has about 2+ years in mechanical design, proficiency in Inventor or

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical design preferred; graduates considered.
• Proficient with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical/Design Engineering advantageous.
• Based within a commutable distance to Congleton.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke equipment using Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks.
• Produce 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Develop new concepts and practical engineering solutions.
• Carry out hands-on testing and write technical manuals.
• Support projects through the design lifecycle from concept to manufacture.
• Produce and maintain Bills of Materials.

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer Salary: £30,000 - £40,000, depending on experience Location: Congleton

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview

• Designing bespoke equipment with the use of Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks
• Producing 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings
• Developing new concepts and practical engineering solutions for bespoke customer applications
• Carrying out hands‑on testing of equipment, and creating technical manuals
• Supporting projects throughout the design lifecycle, from initial concept and development through to manufacture and assembly
• Producing and maintaining Bills of Materials

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements

• Around 2+ years' experience within mechanical design would be highly advantageous, although graduate and less experienced candidates will also be considered
• Experience using Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks
• Degree, HNC, HND or similar qualification within Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous
• Based within a commutable distance of Congleton

• Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
