Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Erith

About the Role:

This permanent position provides comprehensive technical support to our Client's Technical department across all project stages: tenders, pre-construction, design, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Produce and manage RFIs.
2. Review project specifications and tender offers for technical compliance.
3. Support Sales with tender clarifications and exclusions.
4. Verify material/equipment compliance and costs.
5. Contribute to Project Execution Plans (PEP).
6. Support pre-construction and prefabrication/Off-Site Assembly design.
7. Produce technical submittals and installation information.
8. Attend design meetings/workshops; review/produce drawings/schematics.
9. Interface with internal control teams.
10. Review mechanical system commissionability.
11. Maintain accurate records.
12. Basic Autocad / Revit skills preferred.

Qualifications & Person Specification:

1. Previous engineering experience, preferably in construction.
2. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
3. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
4. Excellent numerical, analytical, and attention to detail skills.
