Job summary

Elastic Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical design on Building Services projects across commercial, residential, healthcare and other sectors. You will own technical delivery, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to low-carbon and sustainable solutions.

You should have 5+ years in Building Services, a Building Services/Mechanical Engineering degree, strong HVAC knowledge, and experience with Revit and UK standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Building Services mechanical design experience.
• Mechanical or Building Services Engineering qualification.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building services.
• Experience across multiple project/design stages.
• Revit and relevant building services software experience.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and UK/European standards.
• CIBSE membership/Chartership progression advantageous.
• BREEAM, HTM and renewable tech knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Leading mechanical design on selected projects.
• Producing calculations, specifications and drawings.
• Acting as a client-facing engineer throughout project delivery.

I’m looking to speak with experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineers interested in joining a growing Building Services & Low Carbon Engineering Consultancy.

This position offers the opportunity to take genuine ownership of projects while working across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, industrial, pharmaceutical, public sector and low-carbon/net-zero schemes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading mechanical design on selected projects
• Producing calculations, specifications and drawings
• Acting as a client-facing engineer throughout project delivery
• Working across projects from inception through to completion
• Providing technical guidance to junior engineers
