Job summary

OXEO Select | Engineering & Technical is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer based in or commutable from Bellshill, UK. The position offers a competitive salary of £38,000 - £50,000 plus bonuses and an excellent benefits package including 29 days holiday. As a design engineer, you will create special-purpose machinery for blue chip clients within a supportive and growing company.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Design or a related field and experience using CAD software. This is a permanent position with opportunities for further training and progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Design, Industrial Design or similar.
• Experience designing sheet metal products or special purpose machinery.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as Creo, Solidworks, Autocad, or Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce special-purpose machinery for blue chip clients.
• Work on projects from concept to completion.
• Develop bills of materials and CAD designs.

You will be based in or commutable from one of the following locations: Glasgow, East Kilbride, Renfrew, Livingston, Paisley, Bridge of Weir. Other location also considered.

Are you from a mechanical design background with experience working on the design of sheet metal products or special-purpose machinery and are looking for a role offering further technical progression?

In this role you will work as a design engineer to design and produce special‑purpose machinery for blue chip clients within a company well known for their excellent benefits package.

The company are a specialist in their industry and supply their product solutions to a range of blue chip clients across the world.

This role would suit someone with previous experience as a design engineer looking for a long term permanent position within a growing and investing company.

The Role

• In this role you will work as a Mechanical Design Engineer to produce a range of special purpose machinery.
• Duties of the role will include but are not limited to design, CAD, bill of materials, development and much more.
• Working on projects from concept to completion
• Monday – Friday on site
• Further progression and training available
• Excellent benefits package

The Person

• A degree in Mechanical Design, Industrial Design or similar
• Some previous experience in design of products like sheet metal or special purpose machinery will be considered beneficial
• Previous in a CAD package such as Creo, Solidworks, Autocad, Inventor or similar
• Looking for a long-term permanent position within an established and growing business.
