Job summary

South West Water Limited is seeking a Mechanical Craftsperson to maintain and repair water treatment assets, pumping stations and reservoirs across the region. You will ensure reliable service, perform hands-on problem solving, and contribute to safety and efficiency initiatives.

Applicants should have completed a technical apprenticeship, understanding RAMS, and ideally experience with wastewater processes.

Qualifications

• A completed apprenticeship in a relevant technical discipline.
• A full understanding of RAMS to deliver a safe maintenance regime.
• Experience with Waste Water treatment processes would be desirable.
• Ability to fault find and repair large complex mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment.
• Manufacture and fabricate parts and equipment.
• Provide detailed specifications for replacement parts.
• Assist operational teams with complex problem-solving.
• Ensure safety compliance using method statements and RAMS.
• Participate in standby/call-out rota.

As a Mechanical Craftsperson, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our water treatment assets, pumping stations, and reservoirs.
