Tata Steel UK is seeking a Mechanical Craft to join the Packaging department at Trostre. You will deliver preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, diagnose faults and support safe, reliable production, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, and process rolls.
The ideal candidate will have an HNC-level qualification (crafted or apprenticeship) with relevant heavy industry experience, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to work independently.

What you will do
As a Mechanical Craft, you will play a key role in delivering high standards of maintenance, inspection, and fault resolution to support safe and reliable production. You will:

You’ll ideally be qualified to HNC level, typically gained via a craft or modern apprenticeship in mechanical engineering. You should also have:
