  • Ensure all repairs are completed in line with recognised engineering standards and best practice
  • Support maintenance teams in diagnosing issues and preventing repeat failures
  • Record and feedback root causes, spare requirements, and emerging issues via maintenance systems (e.g. Pirana)
  • Manage and prioritise fabrication work across the Steelpark to meet operational demands
  • Interpret engineering drawings and produce high‑quality fabrication work
  • Participate in planned maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote and comply with Tata Steel Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Conduct risk assessments and challenge unsafe practices to ensure a safe working environment
  • Support and mentor apprentices and new team members

  • Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG and arc welding
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
