Job summary

Media Stream AI Limited is seeking an experienced data-centre cooling specialist to own and maintain critical infrastructure, including free-cooling loops, heat exchangers, and water loops. The role focuses on reliable operation of chillers, pumps and glycol systems within a high-demand data centre environment.

You will monitor PUE and rack thermals, optimise free cooling, and manage water treatment. Collaboration with utility partners may be required, ensuring compliance with F-Gas regulations.

Qualifications

• HVAC or refrigeration qualification with F-Gas certification.
• Experience with data-centre cooling and water-loop systems.
• Maintain heat exchangers, pumps, glycol loops and chillers.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain cooling infrastructure, including free-cooling loop and rear-door heat exchangers.
• Monitor PUE and rack thermals; optimize free cooling.
• Manage water treatment and wet-well interface.
• Liaise with relevant utility/partners as needed.

Job description

Own the cooling infrastructure: the free-cooling loop, rear-door heat exchangers, liquid-to-chip manifolds and backup chillers.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain heat exchangers, pumps, glycol loops, RDHx and chillers.
• Monitor PUE and rack thermals; optimise free-cooling.
• Manage water treatment and the wet-well interface.
• Liaise with Scottish Water Horizons.

Requirements:

HVAC or refrigeration qualified; F‑Gas certified; data‑centre cooling and water-loop experience.

Salary:

£47,000 to £54,000 per annum
