Job summary

WR HVAC in Bedford is seeking a Chiller Engineer to maintain and service air-cooled and water-cooled chillers across commercial sites in the region. The role requires strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work with customers on-site.

You will diagnose faults, commission installations, and support system upgrades while ensuring compliance with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards. A company van is provided along with training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of air-cooled and water-cooled chiller systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills across refrigeration and electrical systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance, servicing, and reactive repairs on chillers.
• Diagnose and rectify refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical faults on customer sites.
• Commission new chiller installations and support system upgrades.
• Provide technical support and recommendations to maximise performance.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation using company systems.
• Ensure work complies with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and reactive repairs on a range of air-cooled and water-cooled chiller systems
• Diagnose and rectify refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical faults across commercial customer sites
• Commission new chiller installations and support system upgrades where required
• Provide technical support and recommendations to customers to maximise system performance and efficiency
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately using company systems
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards
