Job summary

Dowds seeks an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join our Facilities Management team in Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow and West Beath). You will manage multiple small to medium MEP contracts from pre-construction through to handover, focusing on safe, high-quality, commercially controlled delivery and strong client relationships.

You will act as the primary point of contact for our service, maintaining professional relationships through regular communication, meetings and site

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical contracts management or similar.
• Strong knowledge of MEP building services systems.
• Experience delivering multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience delivering projects within healthcare, commercial, or industrial environments.
• Security clearance for certain sites (can be obtained if not already held).

Responsibilities

• Manage MEP contracts to align with programmes, scope and targets.
• Promote and maintain high health, safety and environmental compliance across all contracts including RAMS, site inductions, toolbox talks.
• Support preconstruction and estimating activities by reviewing drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to ensure resources.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants and site teams.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Monitor contract costs and performance, identify efficiencies and manage risk.
• Manage site teams in a professional and inclusive manner.
