Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is recruiting a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to design and deliver mechanical building-services for infrastructure and Ministry of Justice projects, including prisons and secure facilities.

You will work across heating, ventilation, cooling, water services and controls, using AutoCAD, Revit and BIM, and contribute from concept through handover.

The role offers flexible working and a structured path toward Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience designing mechanical building-services systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical plant, water services and associated controls.
• Experience producing calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM methodologies.
• Understanding of Building Regulations and CDM responsibilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design heating, ventilation, cooling, domestic water, drainage and associated mechanical building-services systems.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications and equipment schedules.
• Support projects from initial survey through detailed design, construction and handover.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, architectural and structural disciplines.
• Ensure designs comply with Building Regulations and standards.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and operational stakeholders.
• Manage assigned work against quality, cost and programme objectives.
