Job summary

Sphere Solutions is recruiting a Building Services Project Manager to lead the MEP packages on a landmark £300 million mixed-use development in Bristol. You will report to the Project Director and collaborate with Design, Commercial and Construction teams to deliver on time, safely and to programme.

The role requires senior leadership, strong MEP knowledge and a proven track record delivering major construction projects for developers or main contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering major construction projects with building services focus.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and integration within large developments.
• Proven ability to manage procurement, programme, cost and risk.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for planning and delivering all MEP packages.
• Manage the building services programme, procurement strategy and milestones.
• Coordinate consultants, designers, specialist subcontractors and internal teams.
• Review designs and value engineering to ensure buildability and project success.
• Lead progress meetings and provide updates to senior management.
• Oversee commissioning and handover strategies for successful completion.
• Support and direct the Building Services team throughout the project lifecycle.

A leading property developer is looking to recruit an experienced Building Services Project Manager to join the team delivering a landmark £300 million mixed-use development in Bristol.

This is a senior project leadership role, responsible for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of all mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) packages across a major construction development. Working closely with the Project Director, Design Team and Commercial Team, you will take ownership of the building services strategy from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring programme, commercial and quality objectives are achieved.

What you'll be doing

• Taking overall responsibility for the planning and delivery of all mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) packages
• Managing the building services programme, procurement strategy and project milestones
• Coordinating consultants, designers, specialist subcontractors and internal project teams
• Reviewing technical designs, specifications and value engineering opportunities to ensure buildability and project success
• Working closely with the Commercial Team to manage package performance, budgets, variations and risk
• Leading project meetings with key stakeholders and providing regular progress updates to senior management
• Overseeing commissioning and handover strategies to ensure a successful project completion
• Supporting and providing direction to the Building Services delivery team throughout the project lifecycle

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Building Services Project Manager, MEP Project Manager or similar role delivering major construction projects
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) systems
• Experience managing building services packages from pre-construction through to completion
• Strong understanding of procurement, programme management and commercial processes
• Previous experience working for a developer, main contractor or specialist MEP contractor
• HNC, HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
