Job Description: Mechanic / Engineer / Car Builder

Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a versatile mechanic, engineer, or car builder. This role is distinct from a typical garage mechanic position, involving the building and partial assembly of Tomcat road and competition cars. Responsibilities include repairs (including racing damage), servicing, and fabrication for off-road and track competition vehicles.

The ideal candidate will be a capable mechanic with resourcefulness and problem-solving skills. They should be competent in electrical system repair and building, possess light fabrication skills, and have experience with fiberglass repairs. Welding and machining skills are preferred but not essential.

The successful applicant will work under the guidance of the project engineer alongside other team members, both permanent and freelance.

This position can be part-time, suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a career change or a skilled car builder looking for part-time work during retirement. The role requires road and off-road testing, so a clean UK driving license is essential.
