Aberdeenshire Council is recruiting a Mechanic to join the team at the Fleet Repair Depot in Mintlaw. You will service and repair the council's fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment, with opportunities to work on a diverse range of machinery.
The post is based on two days of 9.25 hours per day, with working days to be agreed. A current driving licence is essential, and applicants should expect to provide at least one reference from a current or most recent employer.
We're offering you an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role as a Mechanic based at our Fleet Repair Depot Mintlaw, you will be responsible for the service and repair of Aberdeenshire's fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment. Every day you will have the chance to work on the wide range of vehicles and plant that we operate and would consider taking a MOT Tester.
With over 800 vehicles and 1500 items of plant our fleet is large and varied consisting of cars, light commercial vehicles and minibuses, heavy commercial vehicles, quarry equipment such as slew diggers, dumpers along with loading shovels, telehandlers. Smaller plant items such as mowers, trailers, mini tractors add to the variety of work you can expect.
