Job summary

Arnold Clark Shiremoor is looking for a Qualified Mechanic to service and repair vehicles to a high standard, including diagnostics and DVSA testing.

You will carry out road tests and ensure accurate documentation, with opportunities for progression and development through diagnostic level training.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) and hands-on experience in the automotive industry.
• The ability to work to high standards and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Confidence in following written and verbal instructions accurately.
• A full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to a high standard.
• Diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Repairing or replacing worn or faulty components.
• Completing DVSA vehicle testing.
• Road testing vehicles to ensure repairs have been successful.
• Completing all job cards and documentation accurately.
