Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Shiremoor is seeking a Mechanic to deliver servicing, repairs and diagnostics to high standards. You’ll diagnose faults with specialist equipment, repair components and complete DVSA testing, then road test to verify outcomes.

A Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent is required, along with UK driving licence and strong attention to detail. The Arnold Clark Group offers performance bonuses up to £9,000 every three years, overtime pay, 33 days holiday, private

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work to high standards and meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills.
• A full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to a high standard.
• Diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Repairing or replacing worn or faulty components.
• Completing DVSA vehicle testing.
• Road testing vehicles to ensure repairs have been successful.
• Completing all job cards and documentation accurately.
